Course Entry

Level 2: Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above across a range of subjects preferably including English language and maths, or successful completion of a Level 1 qualification, or relevant experience for mature students.

Level 3: Five GCSEs at grades C/4 or above across a range of subjects including English language and preferably maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit or above, or relevant experience for mature students.

Course Assessment

  • Coursework in a variety of formats (internally and externally verified)
  • Level 2: Externally assessed exams
  • Level 3: Two units externally examined, and two externally assessed written tasks

Course Destination

This course embeds personal and skills development such as:

Each year, Tech Day is held where you can showcase your projects to local employers, family, and friends.

In addition, you will participate in enrichment activities such as healthy cooking, physical activities, fundraising, charitable work, and discussions on current affairs.

Successful completion of Level 2 (with merit or distinction, English at Level 2, and attendance above 88%) allows progression to Level 3.

Level 3 graduates can progress directly into roles in the local IT, technical, or creative sectors, or into higher education.

Tutors will provide information, advice, and guidance to help you make informed next-step decisions.
