
On Monday 20 October 2025 The Guernsey Institute celebrated the achievements of its Motor Vehicle apprentices at the annual Guernsey Motor Trades Association (GMTA) awards event.
Each year, one apprentice from each year group is presented with a trophy and award – a tool voucher to the value of £100 – which are kindly sponsored by members of the GMTA. Students are selected by their for having demonstrated the most significant progress and development over the past academic year.
Robert Cornelius, President of GMTA, was the guest speaker.
The winners were as follows:
- First year trophy, sponsored by Guernsey Auto & Electrical Supply Co Winner: Ethan Pratt, working at Concept 360
- Second year trophy, sponsored by Paul's Motors Winner: Jacob Foss, working at WMS
- Third year trophy, sponsored by Le Mont Saint Garage Winner: John Le Huray, working at Euromarque
- Fourth year trophy, sponsored by Trust Ford Winner: Billy Gregg, working at Ronez
Chris Torode, Director of Apprenticeships said:
“This event is a great way to highlight the hard work and dedication of our Motor Vehicle apprentices across all years and levels of the programme. We are extremely grateful to the individual prize sponsors as well as the GMTA for their ongoing support with this event.
