Apprentices celebrate at awards event!

Over 80 apprentices completed their qualifications across a wide range of vocational areas.
Apprentice of the year 2026

The final event of the TGI College/TGI Apprenticeships year was held in early July when apprentices came together to make to the completion of their course. Sponsored by Guernsey Electricity, the evening was a celebration of the hard work, tenacity and achievement of our apprentices who were presented with their certificates by Lord Digby Jones.

Lord Jones also gave an inspiring keynote speech which drew on experiences from his own career pathway.

One apprentice from each vocational area was selected as the apprentice of the year from that particular area, and from that shortlist, TGI Apprentice of the Year 2026 was named. Award winners were as follows:

Adult Care - Caroline Njeri

Early Years - Paula Grischek

Functional Skills Mathematics - Max Rive
