Staff and students from TGI University Centre are holding a conference on the 13th March 2026 to share how they have been able to influence Professional Practise during their Higher Education Studies / Research.

Call for abstracts!

We are looking for anyone who has completed professional studies who would like to share their service improvements, Research, or outcomes of their Professional Studies.

There is an opportunity to present either a poster or oral presentation. TGI University Centre will provide support for anybody interested in this opportunity.

What is an abstract?

An abstract is a brief, clear summary of the information in your presentation. A well-prepared abstract enables readers to identify the basic content quickly and accurately, to determine its relevance to their interests or purpose and then to decide whether they want to listen to the presentation in its entirety.

A well-structured abstract includes the following components:

  • Title: A clear and concise title that reflects the content of your presentation. This title will be used in all the conference publications.
  • Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic and its significance.
  • Objectives: Clearly outline the purpose of your research/project
  • Description: of the methodology or approach used in your research/project.
  • Results: Summarize the key findings or outcomes.
  • Conclusion: Highlight the implications of your results and their relevance to the field of nursing education.

Please note, the closing date for receiving abstracts is Monday 15th December 2025.

Leadership & Education in Professional Practice

This event is an excellent opportunity to share or to hear about service improvements, research or outcomes of professional studies.

Presentations and workshops will be held throughout the day along with a poster exhibition. Staff can attend part or all of the day.
