Lisa Murray qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2009 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southampton. She gained extensive clinical experience across a range of mental health and physical health settings in both the UK and Guernsey before joining TGI University Centre in 2018.
In 2023, Lisa completed a Master’s in Professional Practice, undertaking research focused on the lived experiences of neurodivergent student nurses. As part of her postgraduate studies, she also achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Education.
Lisa teaches and leads modules across the BSc Adult Nursing, FdSc Nursing Associate, and master’s‑level programmes. She is the Placement Facilitator for both the BSc Adult Nursing and FdSc Nursing Associate programmes, with responsibility for conducting educational audits and supporting the quality of practice placement learning environments.
As an active member of the Inclusivity Team, Lisa is committed to supporting students with mental health needs, physical or sensory disabilities, and those who are neurodivergent. She is passionate about enabling all learners to fully engage in their student roles and achieve their full potential.
In addition to her teaching and academic responsibilities, Lisa is an Approved Learning Assessor for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
