Brenda Munro

Brenda Munro is a senior lecturer at TGI University Centre. A Registered Nurse with more than twenty years’ experience working across a wide range of practice settings. Brenda is passionate about safe, effective, quality care and in her role as Chair of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Imaging Nurses forum she led a team of nurses from the four countries to develop Core Competencies for Imaging Nurses and a number of best practice guidelines. Brenda also worked with the Royal College of Radiologists to produce Guidelines for nursing care in interventional radiology. Brenda organised and chaired RCN conferences and roadshows across the UK to empower and equip nurses to deliver evidence-based care.

Since joining the lecturing team in 2014 Brenda has undertaken a number of roles including BSc (Hons) pre-registration adult nursing programme lead and post graduate and professional development programmes lead. Brenda has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education and a Masters in Professional Practice. Brenda is committed to professionalism, inclusivity and teaching excellence, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy she is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Care.
