At The Guernsey Institute, we believe in the power of education to transform lives, industries, and

This December, we celebrate 75 years of apprenticeships in Guernsey – a testament to our enduring
commitment to equipping individuals with the skills they need to thrive. These programmes have
been the backbone of many successful careers, showcasing endless possibilities for personal growth
and business success.

Our work extends far beyond apprenticeships. Just this month, we honoured 35 part-time Higher
Education graduates at our annual awards event at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts.
Each of these individuals achieved their qualifications while balancing full-time employment – a
remarkable demonstration of resilience and ambition.

Looking to the future, we are proud to announce that the GTA, as part of our TGI Business School,
continues to raise Guernsey’s profile on the international stage. The Guernsey Certificate in
International Insurance Management has been recognised as a finalist in two prestigious European
awards: the 2024 European Risk Management Awards for Education and Training Excellence, and
the European Captive Review Award for Captive Collaboration Project of the Year. This global
recognition underscores the calibre of education we provide to meet the island’s unique needs.
Meanwhile, the TGI University Centre is preparing for its next graduation ceremony on 29
November – another celebration of excellence that demonstrates our role in fostering ambition and
achievement.

Every programme we offer, every milestone we celebrate, and every partnership we forge is
underpinned by a deep commitment to Guernsey’s future. The Guernsey Institute is more than an
education provider; we are a cornerstone of the island’s development – creating opportunities,
